Entry for May 26, 2007 - FRIENDS NEVER LET FRIENDS DOWN

FRIENDS NEVER LET FRIENDS DOWN
I love this illustration sent to me from Europe. The text in Portuguese says: "Moral of the story: A friend, even if he is not able to lift up his friend, he will arrange a way to not allow him to fall."
It shows friends don’t want to let down their friends, even when they have no way to lift them up. We do our best! Thank you for doing your best to help children around the world!
We hope this news of being able to help children in Southern Angola and in a refugee camp, it is good news. We are so thankful to you all and to God for the food being available to help.
Thank you all for your helping us to be able to help others. Today we were able to provide 3 pallets of meals to the "Shared Hope Project" that will be shipped out June 6, 2007. The meals will be given to children and their families in southern Angola and in Namibia among Angolan refugees. A teams leaves in September from Chicago to help in the distribution of all the gifts given.
Resently we were able to seen a semi load of food to Mexico. Also we were able to another semi to help with food in orphanages in Liberia, West Africa. Together we send out these meals, without your donations and volunteer hours, these meals and food donations would have never taken place. Remember we did it together!
We will be packing next week with a Rotary Earlyact Club and here at the warehouse on June 12th at 7PM to 9PM. Come and join our efforts to provide meals for needy and starving children.
The 3 pallets is 99 boxes or 21,384 meals, thank you for your gifts and volunteer hours that enable us together to send meals to needy children! Thank you!
